Octubre, al rescate de la piel tras el verano

October: rescuing your skin after the summer

Summer has been full of experiences and good moments to remember; vacation photos, long days to enjoy… memories that are etched in our memory, but also on our skin. Now that it is coming to an end, it is time to return to good habits and erase the harmful effects of the sun.

The increased sun exposure during these months has wreaked havoc on our face. UVB radiation increases, as do the daylight hours, and inevitably the production of free radicals has left a mark on our complexion. Now it looks dull, lusterless, and perhaps even has a few spots and wrinkles more noticeable than before. In short, our skin is oxidized, dehydrated, and photoaged.

Faced with this situation, one word comes to mind: antioxidants. It will be the main ingredient in our recipe for recovering your skin after the summer, but don't miss the complete routine we recommend in this article.

1. The basics: cleansing and exfoliation
We know that these steps are not missing from your daily life, neither in winter nor in summer, but now is the time to dedicate a little more time to the cleansing ritual. We recommend the double Japanese cleansing method to remove all impurities from the face with Total Makeup Remover, based on natural oils that deep-clean even the most stubborn makeup, Makeup Remover Gel, a gentle cleanser without perfumes or irritants, and Aqua Tonic, a moisturizing and decongestant toner that restores a sense of comfort and balances the skin's pH.

Furthermore, it is essential that you exfoliate once or twice a week to remove all the dead cells that oxidative stress has left on the outermost layer of the epidermis.

2. Vitamin C: The key against oxidation
This will be the main ingredient to revitalize the face, neutralize free radicals, and recover the DNA structure of our cells that have been damaged by the sun. Although ascorbic acid (the pure form of vitamin C) is the most potent and recognized antioxidant that exists, the formulations we propose below, and their combination, increase the power of action against oxidative stress.

– Night serum: Triple Antioxidant Night Protector, with L-ascorbic acid, vitamin E, and lipoic acid. Three antioxidants that, when combined, expand their function both inside and on the cell membrane, providing the skin with the necessary defense against free radicals.
– Intensive complex: Blast C Antioxidant Cream, a combination of free and liposomal antioxidants (vitamin C, ferulic acid, rhodiola extract) and the innovative Pro Blast system, a cocktail of probiotics that boost skin renewal.
You can complete the antioxidant routine with the gel or cream day moisturizer and the eye contour from CVital.

3. Fight spots
The oxidative damage produced by excess sun sometimes leads to the intensification of spots on the cheeks, forehead, or lip. If this is your case, begin a depigmenting treatment in the autumn with the products from the Despigmen P3 line. Formulated based on Kligman's triad, with tyrosine inhibitors (the main cause of excess melanin), exfoliating agents, and anti-inflammatories, to which anti-pollution agents and Atache's star ingredient are added: Polypodium leucotomos, a natural photoprotector and immuno-anti-inflammatory.

4. Don't stop using sunscreen
Remember that, although UVB radiation intensifies in summer, UVA radiation is constant throughout the year, and along with infrared radiation and visible light, it is also responsible for sun damage. A broad-spectrum facial protector that covers these emissions, such as those from the Be Sun line, will help you prevent all the effects we are helping to combat.
