Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid is often found in treatments designed to lighten dark spots, regulate sebum production or deeply cleanse the epidermis.
It acts as a chemical exfoliant on the skin, helping to prevent acne and blackheads; removes the outermost skin layers and evens the skin tone by correcting hyperpigmentation. It also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, helps collagen production, smooths or eliminates superficial lines caused by the sun or ageing, and soothes redness.
