Internally, factors such as keratinisation disorders in the pilosebaceous unit, alterations in microbial flora, inflammatory reactions, etc. also play a role.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Zinc PCA is a skin conditioning agent that acts as a sebum regulator, as it reduces sebaceous hypersecretion and also has antimicrobial and astringent properties. Therefore, it helps control oil production in the sebaceous glands, and also reduces the accumulation of bacteria related to inflammation, itching, the appearance of spots, blackheads and feelings of discomfort. It also helps control acne, has moisturising properties and makes the skin soft and smooth.

Salicylic Acid is an active ingredient that regulates cell keratinisation, providing an exfoliating effect. Its oil solubility allows it to penetrate deeper into the pores, making it more effective in removing dead skin cells from the outer layers of the skin, preventing and unblocking clogged pores. In this way, it treats blackheads and comedones, deeply cleaning and calming them.

Malic Acid is another active ingredient that helps normalise cell keratinisation, speeding up the shedding of the outermost layers of the stratum corneum, enhancing the skin’s radiance, smoothness and firmness. What’s more, it enhances the effects of salicylic acid and regulates the skin’s pH levels.

Propanediol (Seboclear®) is an active ingredient with keratolytic, antioxidant and antibacterial effects that stands out for its ability to reduce inflammation.

Evermat® is a highly effective active ingredient complex combining Enantia chlorantha bark extract and oleanolic acid. It has a sebum-regulating action that reduces sebaceous hypersecretion, shrinking pores and reducing shine and oil production.

Chlorhexidine digluconate is a well-known topical antiseptic that’s very effective in eliminating microbes caused by excess sebum that infect the pores and cause comedones, spots and blackheads. It normalises bacterial flora, preventing the proliferation of harmful microorganisms thanks to its antiseptic and disinfectant effects. This active ingredient works extremely rapidly compared to other antiseptics, and can remain working on the skin for up to 48 hours.

Allantoin is a natural wound-healing treatment that promotes and accelerates skin regeneration. It leaves skin looking smooth, healthy and revitalised.
