Malic acid

Malic acid is extracted from apples and is one of the so-called alpha-hydroxy acids.
It has a keratolytic action and enhances the effect of salicylic acid. It’s also used as an exfoliant or chemical peel to remove the outermost layers of the stratum corneum, resulting in smoother, firmer, softer and younger-looking skin.
Furthermore, it helps cell regeneration, tightens pores, retains skin moisture and limits the first signs of ageing.
