CONCERN: SKIN CLEANSING AND MAKE-UP REMOVAL
Along with sun protection, facial cleansing is a key step to maintain healthy and beautiful-looking skin. We often underestimate its importance, skipping it, doing it poorly or using products that are too stripping and/or unsuitable for our skin type.
Throughout the day, the skin is exposed to numerous sources of dirt: sweat and sebum secreted by the skin itself, environmental pollution, toxins, dust, environmental residues and, of course, make-up. This makes your skin an ideal environment for the proliferation of bacteria and microorganisms.
If you don’t wash your face daily, your skin won’t be able to breathe properly, so it will become dull, dehydrated and its cells will have less energy. Also, dirt clogs pores. All this leads to the appearance of comedones, pimples, acne, peeling and other unwanted skin imperfections.
On the other hand, if your skin is covered by a layer of dirt, your skin care products will be less effective as this makes it impossible for them to penetrate the skin to guarantee the effects they claim.
Finally, using products that don’t cleanse your face thoroughly enough and/or products that are too harsh or unsuitable for your skin type can also lead to skin imperfections, as they throw off your skin’s pH balance.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Carrot oil is rich in vitamins, especially vitamins A and E, so it provides elasticity and radiance to the skin. It’s ideal for preventing skin ageing, caring for dry and mature skin and regulating sebum production in oily skin, being especially beneficial for acne-prone skin.
Sunflower oil has powerful repairing properties and is also an excellent emollient that nourishes, prevents dehydration and protects the skin thanks to its antibacterial action. It’s rich in vitamins A, D, E and omega-6 acid. It’s suitable for all skin types, as it helps regulate oily skin and relieve dry skin. It’s also full of vitamin E, which gives it antioxidant properties.
Allantoin is a natural wound-healing treatment that promotes and accelerates skin regeneration. It leaves skin looking smooth, healthy and revitalised.
Wheat germ oil is high in vitamin E, which gives it great antioxidant qualities with action on premature ageing and the body’s water balance. It’s also an excellent source of vitamin B, which contributes to skin health. It helps sooth dry, scaly and damaged skin and can even alleviate erythema thanks to its regenerative effect on skin tissues.
Witch hazel extract is an active ingredient that has astringent, decongestant and healing properties. It works as a peripheral vasoconstrictor. Thanks to its astringent properties, it’s especially good at eliminating excess oil and reducing pore irritation.
Hypericum Perforatum L. or St John’s Wort, found in Depil Comfort, is a plant extract that controls the inflammatory response, accelerates and stimulates the skin regeneration process, minimises the risk of infection and reduces solar erythema and post-UVA/UVB irradiation.
FORMULATION
Essentielle was originally designed as a cleansing line for professional use. Its combination of active ingredients allows specialists to deeply cleanse the skin to get it ready for in-salon treatments to optimise their results.

The line includes a product for each stage of the cleaning process, becoming a self-sufficient routine. Total Makeup Remover is an oil-based, non-greasy cleanser that removes oil-soluble dirt and make-up, even waterproof make-up. It’s also suitable for use on the eyes and eyelashes, and has actually been proven to strengthen the latter. It is ophthalmologically tested.
Makeup Remover Gel takes care of any traces of water-soluble make-up, so it works together with Total Makeup Remover to achieve a deeply purifying cleansing. Exfoliating Scrub gently removes dead cells and Aqua Tonic restores the skin’s pH balance while repairing its protective barrier. The line also incorporates other products for basic skin health care.
