Jojoba oil contains a high percentage of ceramides, which are lipids that make up the natural moisturising factors (NMF) found in the cells of the uppermost layer of the skin. They’re responsible for regulating sebum production, which reinforces its action, and also help maintain the correct functioning of the epidermis. This natural oil therefore facilitates hydration by forming a protective barrier, thanks to which cells remain bound together and strong. It’s also rich in vitamin E and linoleic acid, nutrients that add antioxidant and regenerative powers to skin cells. This active ingredient penetrates deeply into the skin, something that amplifies its moisturising power, offering results in deep hydration, wrinkle prevention, fading scars and stretch marks, softening the skin and making it feel smooth and supple.
